Based on a short story by Philip K. Dick, Paycheck follows Michael Jennings, a reverse engineer who is hired by companies to crack their competitors' technology. When Jennings completes a three-year job for a company called Allcom, he wakes up to find that his memory of the last three years has been erased, and he has been paid in the form of seemingly worthless trinkets.
Jennings soon discovers that he has been framed for a crime he didn't commit and must use his skills to piece together what happened to him and clear his name. Along the way, he is assisted by Rachel Porter, a scientist who worked on the same project as Jennings.
Paycheck is known for its fast-paced action, intricate plot, and stunning visuals, with explorations into themes of memory, identity, and technology typical of Dick's works.
