This is a fun little game. It's hits all the right notes for someone who loves pixel-art point-and-click games, from the familiar gameplay, to the humorous dialogue, to the pop culture homages. The most unique aspect is that this is not one large game. It's a game universe where you play as Detective McQueen, head of the Twin Falls Police Department's division in charge of investigation "weird stuff".Just don't look for an in-depth, overarching story with dozens of hours of gameplay. This is not that. Darkside Detective includes 6 small cases, with 3 additional bonus cases once you finish the main game. The "cases" are bite-sized adventures that, for a seasoned puzzle gamer, will take less than an hour apiece. But if you're looking for a filler game at the end of a mystery night, or playing with a room full of puzzle game rookies, this might be the perfect choice.
